So far, Temple has been a great experience for me. Transferring schools has never crossed my mind. People on campus are very friendly. Many people who live on campus come from all over PA/NJ/NY mostly so there is not those "set group of friends". However, if you are a quiet and shy student, you may not enjoy school as much. With the large population of students, you may just fall into the background. The school is very diverse and living in the city is a great experience. The only bad thing- SAFETY! You have to watch where you walk at all times of the day. If you are smart and cautious and NEVER walk anywhere off campus alone, you will be fine. Professors here are a hit or miss. I have had great ones, then I had ones who taught horribly. Some classes I only went to on test days because I could teach myself better than the professor could. I haven't had much luck in the Psych dept. with professors, but the professors in Criminal Justince are GREAT so far (my minor). The dorm life is decent for city living- Temple Towers is probably the best. After sophmore year, you have to move off campus, which isn't difficult at all though. There are plenty of apartment and houses DIRECTLY off campus. One word of advice, enjoy your freshman year the most because after that, you have to really start getting serious. Overall, I LOVE this school and almost never want to graduate. GO OWLS!
