I really enjoyed UC generally—the campus is beautiful, classmates are mostly friendly and the professors are helpful.

Since it's a large university, you will run into all sorts of people.  Most people (students & professors) are friendly and open, but you will run into some arrogant and close-minded ones.  I don't let it ruin my experience at UC though.

It's definitely what you put in, and if you take care of yourself and your education, you will be fine.

The social life lacks tremendously because most people keep to themselves, unless they're in Greek or highly involved in activities.  Unless you make an effort to talk to people, you will remain as a you are—and stay in your dorm on the weekends.

Some classes are taught by TAs or lackluster professors who treat their students like numbers in large classes.  Basically, it's what you put-in at UC—and you need to stand-out.
