I am from a small town in Massachusetts and would come to Boston during the weekends with my friends. I loved the idea of living in Boston and being able to take the T everywhere, go on adventures and being able to just experience city life. I am a very bubbly person and was excited to make new friends as well. So when it came time to choose schools, I got accepted to 9 schools and chose Suffolk as my first choice. Worst decision of my life. My first semester is almost over and I can honestly say I have never been more unhappy. The people here are the most judgmental people I have ever met. If you don't like you roommate or suite mates, you're screwed. If you don't make friends your first two weeks, you're screwed. After the first two weeks everyone had already had already found friends. I attempted to make friends since I am a very down to earth and friendly person but that didn't work since everyone had already found their friends. For the past three months I've been stuck hanging out with two girls who I really don't like. They are snobby and judgmental. If you want to feel part of a community and meet a lot of people then suffolk is not for you. If you are down to earth and want to meet relaxed and friendly people, then suffolk is definitely not for you. I can honestly say I've only met a few people here who aren't arrogant and snooty. I have cried everyday since after the first week of college. I am happy to say I am transferring next year. Although I have to sit through another semester of this horrible school. Although one plus side is the professors are great, they are very good and are always there to help you out. But besides that, this has been the worst experience of my life. If you are snobby, arrogant, cliquey, and judge someone the second you meet them, then suffolk is the place for you.
