Love Nichols College. Some people HATED it because they didn't know how to make their own fun. It's true; there is not much nearby. You want to go places? Bring your car. Freshman can have cars on campus and parking isn't too difficult. There's Auburn Mall and Blackstone Mall nearby, as well as some restaurants. You'll have to drive 20-25 mins though. The dorms are so nice, especially Shamie (the primarily freshman dorm). In Shamie, you have your own bathroom with shower that you share between you and one or two other people. Nichols focuses on getting you ready for the real world. You have to take a PDS (professional development seminar) course every year that teaches you things such as time management, networking, resume building, interviewing skills and other skills necessary for landing a job out of school. The sports programs are really strong…except for football. Hockey is reallly popular here. People love going to the games. The course load isnt too tough…however, it gets harder as you go.
