I chose Plymouth because I felt like it was a really nice place when I toured. I ignored what everyone said about it being a party school (big mistake.) If you go here make sure to join clubs because without them there is virtually nothing to do. After one semester my friends and I were bored out of our minds- there are only so many times you can go "downtown" (it's one street.) The mountains are beautiful, which is the only thing I really liked about the school. If you want to get anywhere it's a pain in the butt because everything is far away. Don't even bother trying to find a movie theater.

A lot of the people are nice, and a lot suck..just as they do anywhere. You aren't going to find a school where EVERYONE is nice, doesn't party, does party..etc. But when they say it's a party school..it really is. I'm the type of kid where I like to drink occasionally but don't love the huge frat party scene. Which is basically all the social life is at Plymouth. The frats are sketchy and some of the dorms are sketchy. I've heard some pretty awful things about what happens in the dorms. Campus PD are nice people who work hard but I don't feel safe walking across campus alone at night. Drunk kids are constantly banging on my door. One of my friends left her door unlocked one night (mistake) and a drunk girl walked in and pissed all over her stuff. You have to have a pretty high tolerance for drunks, or be one..to go here. Overall, the staff are nice people who try and the school is a nice place, but it is too much of a party school.
