Date: Mar 10 2012 Major: English (This Major's Salary over time) DO NOT GO TO UNI. My experience there was actually ok, I appreciate what I learned, however, UNI is having HUGE budget problems and has cut academics 3 years in a row. This week they just cut 70 academic programs. Many students I know are asking what to do. why would you go to a school that has no choice in your "electives"? it's not very elective if you only have one choice to fill the requirement. This school also has a foreign language requirement. which is great if you want to learn spanish. They just cut the other foreign language programs. They have also cut many education minors and eliminated their lab school. It may have once been one of the best teacher education schools, but you wouldnt know it from how they are treating students now. Overall, if you want to go to a school that might cut the very program you went there for before you graduate, UNI is a great choice. Otherwise, pick one of the other schools. There are many other schools that would care more about keeping professors and classes than spending $65,000 to install solar powered trash cans.
