I do not regret coming to Binghamton University. I have only been here for a couple of months and I am in my freshman year. I truly love this campus! There are so many pros about this university that the cons don't even seem to be able to level it out. 1) You have a nature preserve!!!!!! You can go hiking, go for a walk, go for a morning jog, or go get some fresh air when you have been studying all day. 2) The large variety of food. There are 4 big dining halls, each with something special that is offered! Each of the dining halls have special food nights that happen throughout the semester, from pasta toss to make your own burrito, to kosher, to international food. You will have a lot of choices to choose from. In all of the dining halls there is a salad bar, so do not fret if you want to eat healthy! Also each of the dining halls are literally less than 1 minute away from the residence halls that are close to it. There are also late night food stores that are opened in the dining halls that go to 2-4 am over weekends for those who have a certain craving for food at night ;). 3) The professors and student staff here are great! They try to be as friendly as possible, and even try to become friends with you. My professor even gives out extra credit to whoever that drops by his office and starts a conversation with him. In all of my classes there are not one professor that I feel uncomfortable approaching and asking a question. 4) Student participation is a large part in Binghamton University. There are so many clubs and organizations you can join. There are so many ways to get involved! There are also the usual frats and sororities, so if that's you're thing, then even better! There are events that are hosted by different clubs throughout the semester, trust me you will never get bored! Even if you don't drink alcohol, you will still have a great time at this University. Most weekends the university holds weekend movie nights/specific theme events that happens at the union. These events are targeted at those who don't want to go to a frat and party, but also don't want to stay in. It's a great place to meet new people and also have sober fun!. 5) The school has their own, student-run, emergency team called the Harpurs ferry. If you're friend is sick cause he/she drank too much. Feel free to call them and you will not get in trouble. They are used to being in this situation so they are very chill about it. They treat you like they would their friends, cause most of the staff there are trained students, so it's nothing they have not seen before. I'm going to stop there, because this already looks too long. Honestly though, Binghamton University is one of the best choices I have made in my life.

commentFunny how the reviews don't talk about the intellectual climate or how much they have learned or how smart those around them are, Food, clubs and frats. Is this a university or summer camp?
responseWhy do you think students don't discuss the intellectual climate of the school? Why would someone omit to explain their passionate and stimulating discussions with peers and faculty members? Could it be because this is not the choice for intellectuals?
