I am kind of torn with BSU…

Heres the good news.

The school is pretty cheap compared to other schools and they gave me alot of financial aid. The campus is beautiful and big but not too big and they are renovating even more. How to sign up for classes are pretty straightforward and people here are VERY friendly. At least the ones I have encountered. The social life isn't crazy, but there are parties you just need to have the right connections and know where they are. They are all off campus though don't try to have a party in the dorms because believe you will just get caught. Thursdays and Saturdays are usually more lively. Also the T is right on campus, I go on spontaeous train rides to Boston all the time and its pretty cool to be able to walk 5 mins to the stop.

Heres the bad news.

The cops are MEAN. The guards are MEAN. I dont know why but they always assume you are guilty for everything. It's a dry campus meaning even if your 21 you cant drink, and its also tabacco free which means technically you can get in trouble for smoking cigerettes but people do it anyways. Most students graduate in 5 years and thats because no one really tells us what classes we should take in order to graduate on time so be smart and take classes that will fulfill multiple requires even if they probably the most pointless classes, at least you wont spend another year here. There isnt much school spirit here and most events that student groups have here are pretty lame.

Overall, you kind of get what you paid for. It's not a bad school at all to start off at, especially if your trying to save money. I don't know how grad school is but I would probably recommend a different school if possible.
