I attended Clark for three years as a transfer student. Overall it's a good school, here are some insights if you're considering Clark.

I have nothing but praise to say about the academics of the school. Clark offers master's degrees for free in a number of subjects for 5th year students (hard to beat that). One of the biggest draws of the school is financial aid. I've found Clark to be VERY generous to most and including myself. Clark is a small school, so you'll definitely have the benefit of small classes and getting to know your professors. I was somewhat reserved about coming to a school so small (not wanting a high school like experience), but I learned to really appreciate that aspect of Clark as friendships are easier to come by. The dorms are ?okay? I guess and so is the food. ?Partying? pretty much consists of dorm or off campus house parties, nothing special. Clubs, intramural sports, and volunteering opportunities are easy for one to get involved with as well.

I doubt they will tell you this on a campus tour, but be warned that the area that Clark is in has a very high crime rate (mostly drug related). Worcester is very much a different kind of place at night. This means that it is a very, very bad idea to be walking alone or even with a small group at night outside of the campus (especially if your are female). It's the kind of area that I would not want my little sister to go to school in. I did my best to give the city a chance, but I cannot recommend it. Cons include few attractions, limited night life (think sketchy bars), and again crime. I often felt like this was a culture shock to many students coming from affluent areas and so I advise you to really consider Clark's setting before making a decision.

Clark is a great school academic wise and if the price is right, I highly recommend it to you if you can handle not being in a happening town and if you can make safe choices about yourself considering the area. Clark can be amazing if you're on a budget or if you're looking for a great education and for me personally it was definitely worth it.
