Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I am close to finishing my first year at Framingham State and my major is computer science. Overall the food is okay, but the quality goes up when tours start, and goes down afterwards. The campus is very beautiful, but this is very irrelevant after spending more than a week here. Now the bad things, this school is EXTREMELY strict. If you plan on living on campus, just don't go here. There are bag checks every time you enter your dorm building, along with scanning your id. This is a very obnoxious procedure and it makes you feel cold, watched, and not trusted. The campus is dead on weekends. Most students are commuters or people that go home. Drinking and partying are almost non-existent here. People tend to assume that means going out of control and not getting any work done, but sometimes it would be nice to go out and be social, meet some new people. This along with the atmosphere, can make it hard to make friends if you are not very outgoing. The meal program here is designed to leave you hungry. I wish it were not true, but I can only eat once a day on the weekends. This is due to the hours of operation and the times you can swipe for a "meal." If I didn't want to sleep in then I could eat earlier, yes, but sleeping in is really a necessary thing. Overall, living here really does feel like living in a prison. It's very safe here, but its overwhelming. I would recommend this campus to a commuter student but not a resident student.
