Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time)
Most of the negative comments about this university are coming from students who have yet to use this university to its fullest extent. Although it is not as reputable as most schools, if you can get above a 3.5 gpa in an engineering/science major, you can transfer to a better school without problems. I've attended this school for 2 years and I have already been accepted into Georgia Tech, Purdue, UF, and others. The teachers are wonderful, specifically in the science department. On the other hand, if you are going for a degree that notorious for being one of the easiest degrees to obtain, you're a fool to go here. You won't get a job. Also,if you get a gpa under 3.3, you are also in a bad position as well. It's all about what you make of yourself in college. In terms of social life and the students you are surrounded by, make sure you befriend the honor students. If not, at least don't surround yourself with frats or sororities. They tend to be the dumbest, yet richest, kids you'll ever meet. If you just want to watch stupid people do stupid things for your entertainment, go to their parties. Disregarding that, you can find some wonderful people there if you look hard enough. The teachers there are also helpful. I've noticed they're only unhelpful if they see you are completely incompetent of doing their basic tasks that they assign.I am also on a full ride, they give A LOT of money to people who are smart. If you're paying to go there, you probably shouldn't be there to begin with. Everyone in honors has a full ride and is getting paid to go there. That being said, I had a 27 ACT and above a 5.0 gpa on a 4.0 scale.Cheers!
