Major: School of Information (This Major's Salary over time)
I was being recruited by many great colleges and when I approached UMKC I was shown Labs and areas of applied sciences, when I started my semester I was appalled at the so called "Entry" level classes that were not taught, they were shoved down your throat in a loaded class environment that was way above entry level classes. This university makes you pay for "math" classes that are called "IT" classes and are way above any advanced math class I have ever seen, supposed to teach you how to think "logically" but had very little to do with actual IT (I been in IT for over 15 years) and other "fluff" classes are added to make you pay money for classes other universities say you do not need. This school will nickle and dime you to death! Classes, books and online key codes needed for online curriculum will eat away quick at your tuition not to also mention a $300 dollar pass just to park on campus or in the parking garage.I would have chose the other schools if I knew then what I know now about UMKC, I am transferring to another school because they let me down so much.I graduated from another school with my associates, this should have been done in 2 years…even full time and working I would have had to take another semester or two to finish my degree
