This school is terrible in both academic and social aspects. The students are arrogant and think they are better than everyone else and same goes for the faculty. You are not allowed to be in the opposite gender's room past 11 o'clock at night, and if you are you get a huge fine. There are so many other stupid rules like that and the people in charge take their authority way too seriously. If you're looking for a school where you don't have any fun and learn nothing but pointless information for $40,000 a year, then EMU is for you. If you want to have any kind of fun whatsoever and have a good college experience then don't even think about going here.

commentWhy are you so salty? It seems like the majority of your comments are about you not having a good time, but what makes you think that goes for everyone (that seems to me to be the exact example of the arrogance you're complaining so much about)? There is good party life at JMU which is very close, and there are plenty of things that students get into on campus that is entertaining for most of them.

I understand and agree with the complaint about not being allowed in the opposite gender's rooms, but that seems minor as there are still plenty of common areas and places to go, and not really something to make/break your opinion of a school.

I can also understand and agree somewhat with the view of arrogant students, but in my experience much of that is the groups you choose to associate with (and I wouldn't say that any of my professors have been arrogant thus far).
