MSU is a great university. It has its flaws - like some of the residence buildings falling apart and things like that - but overall, it was a hugely fun and useful experience for me. I'm not a Greek by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I'm pretty awkward. But I still managed to find lots of friends and there were lots of clubs that fell within my range of interests. I had a few bad teachers that I really didn't like - arrogant and dismissive - but MSU is a big school, and it can't all be great. I also had a lot of good and some above average professors who I remember fondly. I lived on campus for the first year and off-campus for the remaining three years. I've used my degree to get into graduate school and kept in contact with a lot of friends and faculty.

Starkville is also a really fun town. It seems really hokey and country when you first arrive, but there's a lot of music going on, too. I also never had a problem finding a job off-campus, as there are a lot of businesses in need of help, especially restaurants.
