I have done reviews of Lafayette on this website all four years I attended. Its changed a lot over the past four years. Reading through my old posts I could see my frustration at the social scene in the early years of college. But thats something most students at small schools feel. As the years go by students see a significantly more fun and parties, provided that they are friendly and outgoing people. My advice is to make connections with people in your major in class, join an intramural league, and ask people what they are doing on the weekends. That way by the time you are a senior, you'll have a great network of people that want to hang with you.Academically, Lafayette has always impressed me. Although some professors can be a bit full of themselves, the majority are knowledgable and friendly people. The classes are challenging but stimulating and I've enjoyed almost all of them. but the best part about Lafayette is the career services department. I found an internship three summers in a row thanks to them and now I'm set up for a sweet job when I graduate. The school is expensive but the investment is worth it. I hated my first two years at Lafayette but after changing my attitude I realized this can be a fun place with a lot of great people. Its mostly about your state of mind. Just a few quick notes: the food is average, the football games are moderately attended except the rivalry game which is huge, join Greek Life if you want to party as a sophomore, the local area has a large assortment of restaurants but no night life, and its all about what you make of it.
