Both of my parents are alumni from MVNU and that is the biggest reason for my attendance. However, MVNU has proven itself worth of that and has even gone beyond every expectation. There are several activities throughout the year that allow you to get involved socially, politically, athletically, and so on.

Though religion is a key part of MVNU and the experience there it is not "shoved down your throat" as some like to say. Instead, Christianity is taught as a relationship and way to better life overall; it is not taught as a list of rules that one has to follow. Chapel is wonderful and the praie team does a great job of leading the student body in worship. Wednesdays are typically student testimony days, and those are the best. Joe Noonan, the chaplain, will always great you with a smile and "how are you?"

Justice Talks are a great way to listen to others about a topic who might not have the same opinion as you. During my time, I have never felt that I was being shielded from the outside world. I am being educated to better understand those who do not agree with me.

Overall, MVNU is a university that will educate every aspect of the person, not just the chosen field. I am thankful for the impact that MVNU has had on me and wish that everyone got to experience the school like I have.
