I absolutely loved my Midd experience. a small school gave me an opportunity to grow as a person and i discovered talents i never knew i had. i made great friends from all different countries, backgrounds and socio-economics standings. it is true that it lacked cultural diversity but Vermont is COLD and rural not many people of color are willing to come to Midd. But the minorities that did attend were stellar and contributed a lot to the campus in a variety of ways. it is sad that some people choose to reflect on the negative aspects because if you talk to some people who attend large universities you would notice how lucky you were. in large school the isolation is even greated and the racism seems more evident and frequent and a lot of people get away with it. the only thing i would change about middlebury would be the location but that would probably make it loose its charm.
