The teaching faculty is contracted and for the most part quality instructors able to share practical current experience. 30% of your grade is based on team projects which inevitibly inflates the grades of the weaker team members with the stronger members bearing the bulk of the work. The grading scale/system seems to weight participation higher than individual academic achievement. The University advertises small class sizes but occasionally crowd classes to increase revenue. The concept of working professionals teaching motivated working students is great, but?. The execution of that concept is poor. The University of Phoenix is a profit oriented machine. If they could do something about the grading system, they would be a wonderful University. Unfortunately, the current grading system is so lax that is lumps C through A students in one big pile by awarding them all "A's" (compared to standards in a traditional four year institution). Solve this problem (difficult because it keeps enrollment high) and you would have a wonderful University than executes all the attributes it advertises. The current program emphasis is "We are a for profit university, pay your money and you will graduate".
