I attended IIT for one semester. After my first semester, I dropped all the courses, checked out from the dorm and let all the people from faculty know that I'm leaving the school. The problem is the Bursar office charged me $10000 for canceling the housing contract. They even hired a company to ask money from without letting me know. When I complain them, they just said "Oh.. this is the fees from housing canceling". I sent an email to a professor explaining my problems. After that professor sending out emails to housing office and all the people from Bursar office, they contacted me asking what's going on? I simply asked the explanation why I got charged $10000? Nobody can answer. After two days later, they said…"Oh we apologize, we charged the housing canceling fees twice… So, it should be $5000 instead of $10000"…. That's how IIT works…

By the way, the company they hired is keep sending me mails that they will affect my credit history unless I pay that $10000 now. So… what is going on with that school?
