The reason I am transferring isn't because IBrightPolitical Science
The reason I am transferring isn't because I hated the school (although there were many many complaints that I do have), it is because the money you will spend here will NOT be worth it. The classes are not challenging enough and the living conditions are not worth the money. There are some positive things about the local area and the beauty of D.C., however. Those positives all seem irrelevant when realize you are paying 160,000 for a state school education. Oh yeah and the students...

One word to describe the student body: HORRIBLEIf you are looking at this school, take it from me (or visit and talk to the students), 60% of the students feel the same way and WISH they were going somewhere different.

Question
GW is ridiculous for the amount of moneyQuite BrightPsychology
GW is ridiculous for the amount of money you pay to go there. For 40,000 bucks a year (including living expenses) be prepared to be treated like a complete an utter moron and a number in an endless cog of a machine that produces nothing but air. The faculty are less qualified than most of my private school (non accredited) high school teachers were. The student body would be at community college if it weren't for their parents money. The food and services are overpriced even for DC! Thank god I was able to graduate early through a snafu by the GW student code (yes I used GW's own BS bureaucracy against them). Do you own a BMW? Do you pretend to own a BMW? Are you rich? Do you pretend to be rich? Then you will like GW because it's the only school that will accept you and your mental disabilities. The faculty speaks english well but the TAs do not. The economics department at GW is fairly comical for a school with good business and public affairs colleges. I stopped going to one of them when I realized that the professor liked telling me my answers were wrong when I quoted definitions from the textbook he ordered for the class. About the only thing I can say was positive is that the 6 dollar turkey sandwiches are pretty good unless they are 4 days old.

Question
If you can find the right people toQuite BrightPolitical Science
If you can find the right people to hang out with at GW, your time spent here will be worthwhile. There are definitely a lot of rich snobs here, but there are also a lot of really great people, and if you are lucky enough to find these people, you will love GW. DC is an amazing city, and although the school is expensive, you will be having a college experience that is quite unique and memorable. I have had a few really bad professors, but they have generally been really great.
