| Quite Bright | My experience with Sojourner-Douglass College in Baltimore, MD was a positive one. The professors were great. They always made time for you, they were also currently working in the field inwhich they were teaching. I really enjoyed that because as a student I was able to get information not just from the textbook book but up to date information that was currently happening in the workplace. There were some issues but, tell me what college or university does not have some issues. This college offered me what I was looking for. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Campus Aesthetics: F | | | |

| Super Brilliant | I was so hurt because I feel robbed of my dream. SDC is one of the only schools that would watch my children while I'm in class (which yes is a good thing). Anyway I just found out that I have to quit because they just have one mean and nasty teacher that doesn't have patience for students that don't quite get what she is explaining because she half explains it. The other teachers half teach and they are always canceling there classes. They never have the books that you need either. Very disorganized school, how can we study propperly if you don't have the books on campus!! Everybody can't afford to buy them on-line. | University Resource Use: A+, Faculty Accessibility: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | Attending SDC was the best learning experience in my life. It was a pleasure to attend a college that had such a family atmosphere. The staff, faculty, administration and other students were there to help with any issues that students might have. The staff was pleasant and helpful if one had concerns about registration, finance, etc. The faculty was there to help you succeed. They took their personal time to assist students. Often instructors gave out home and work phone numbers so students could be in touch with them. The administrators at SDC were always approachable. If you had concerns they were willing to discuss them with you and point you in the direction were you could get help. Often they would follow up to make sure the proper or desired outcome was achieved. The comraderie among students was like none other. Students were willing to help one another so everyone would succeed. We formed study groups, exchanged phone numbers, met before classes to go over notes and were generally supportive like family. I would recommend SDC to anyone considering furthering their education. As I have an opportunity to speak to students currently matriculating at SDC they tell me that the same positive things are still going on at SDC today. | Super Brilliant | Sojourner-Douglass is an adult college and therefore does not offer a wide range of traditional types of extra-curricula experiences. However, the opportunities to engage in experiential learning are extraordinary. For adults this is the type of extra-curricula activities that we need, it contributes to our learning and it provides a higher quality of intellectual involvement because it provides the opportunity to analyze, interpret and apply theory rather than simply remember and feed back on a test. Further, the faculty are practitioners with real world experience in their field which gives real time meaning to the instruction. Additionally, we are encouraged and taught to work as teams which translates to the work place and the community with regard to service. | Education Quality: A+, Faculty Accessibility: A- | | | |
