Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I would say that my experiences with St.Sociology
I would say that my experiences with St. Thomas were by and large unhappy experience (overall). Although I managed three minors, and was working on my second major I was asked to leave. My problems and I think for many were centered on a view I still hold, if you dissent you are a ?D? student, but if you acquiesce you are an ?A? student. If you're willing to acquiescence you'll do fine at UST.

In my view, there are three categorical imperatives at UST, write what they tell you to write, say what they tell you to say, and ultimately, if they're successful, you will think what they tell you to think. It wasn't as harsh as Orwell's two plus two equals five, but pretty close.

In life I frequently ask myself, if I could go back and do it again, would I choose that option again... Although I graduated there, I would unequivocally not go back to UST for any reason. Jamming that two plus two in your mind is certainly not for me.

Question
I just don't like it here.BrightCommunications
I just don't like it here. The tout themselves as being such a great school and they are supposed to have this great reputation, bla bla bla, that is total BS. Kids here are incredibly homogeneous and if it wasn't for the scholarship money I would get the heck out! They say they are such a great liberal arts school but they have no theatre department and not even an auditorium suitable for concerts or events. Parking costs WAY TOO MUCH. Professors totally moddy-coddle the students. Don't go here.

Question
I began attending St.Quite Bright
I began attending St. Thomas with a very eager attitude. I have worked very hard, and have basically never heard a positive feedback comment from a professor. They have not made time for me and have honestly made me feel like dirt. I would have expected them to not have time for me if I was at a huge state school, perhaps, but some of my classes had only 9 people. When I was struggling, I was once told I should drop the class, after the professor blatantly did not respond to my emails. My honest advice for you, trying not to be biased by my experience, is to look elsewhere for your education. There are other catholic Universities in the state of MN that I believe are more helpful and more caring for the students wellbeing. Check out St. Mary's University in Winona is one other option that I have looked into, although I can not speak too much about how life is there. All I know is St. Thomas is not worth your 40 grand a year for their over inflated ego.
