The State University of New York - Albany

The campus security system only gets repaired ONCE A YEAR. Head of security told me this. That means if blue lights are out, they WILL NOT BE FIXED. I was followed on campus and could not use a blue light. The campus is EXTREMELY unsafe. There are many poorly lit alleyways. The education you receive is made up entirely of busy work. No creativity in classrooms, no differentiation of instruction or an attempt to incorporate this into curriculum by teachers. The financial office is only concerned with getting the most money out of their students. NOBODY HERE IS HERE TO HELP YOU RECEIVE AN EDUCATION. I have gone to three different universities for three different degrees, and this is BY FAR THE WORST UNIVERSITY I HAVE BEEN TO.

Campus looks and feels cold, none of the professors care or even know you by name. I transferred out and it was the best thing I've ever done. The school isn't helpful at all in giving you guidance or advising, you have to hunt for everything on your own. All of my friends who go here also hate it. Stay far away unless you're from Long Island, then you will be fine.
