Alright, first thing I would like to sayBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Alright, first thing I would like to say is if your not from the Long Island area, do not come here. Everybody I meet is from the downstate area and they seem to think they are god's gift to this University. Myself, being an upstater, have had a very tough time connecting with anybody that goes here. As for people saying there is nothing to do, its the same at any school. If you don't join a club or group, the only thing you can do is drink at a party, thats college. Kids like to drink and thats what they will do. However, I have not enjoyed my experiences here at all and cannot wait to transfer out of here. Basically if your not from Long Island or that area in general do not come here. O yeah, unless your Asian because you'll fit in just fine considering it seems like every other person is Asian. Reppin Upstate. WHAT!?

I found Binghamton U to be a fairly good school. The students are not the most friendly, but you can always find people with whom you click. As for all the reviews that talk about the traditional Jappy bitches I agree. And I know what they're talki8ng about since I live on Long Island which is full of them. I had a Jewish rooommate in that converted motel across the street form the university.Once, becaouse of a loose medicine cabinet a bottle of Brute fell on the ground and broke. There must have only been 1 ounce of fluid in the bottle, but my roommate insisted that I pay him for the entire bottle-- about $14.00. He was always criticising my clothes and my suppossed body odor. I could not get even 1 hour of studying done in my room.I witnessed a manage a tois and drug taking, and excessive drinking by him and others at the university. One person even came up to me one day and said " You have the worst roommate here." When I told an RA about the situation and more that I've failed to list here, the RA said, somewhat bewildered, " So, what's the problem? " I soon discovered that this RA and most RAs at any college are worthless. Probably, because they don't want to be seen as the enemy by any student or because they have little power to do anything. Question
I transferred here at the beginning of lastQuite BrightUrban Planning
I transferred here at the beginning of last semester and from my experiences, COLLEGE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT. At Binghamton, you are getting Cornell calaber education at a reasonable price. The classes are challenging and people who say there is nothing to do expect too much from college. One thing you should remember...all colleges are the same (They all have snobby rich kids and students who like to drink and hook up every weekend). Take a look at reviews from other schools and you will see that pretty much everyone has negatives to say. OK, so the campus isn't as pretty as Princeton, BIG DEAL! If you want a pretty campus, go pay $40,000 to go to Cornell or Tufts.

One thing you should remember, Binghamton is on the rise. It has begun to improve its sports program (With the great new Events Center), began a campus-wide revitalization project (it is about to renovate the old union and other buildings on campus) and is putting in great effort to improve not only the quality of life here but the campus asthetics too. In addition, the academics are unbelieveable at the price you are paying.
