Quite Bright
I have been reading alot of reviews about Alvernia and other PA schools. I am looking to continue my education soon, within a few months actually. What I have read does not sound very intellectual. You have to remember if you have 10,000+ students enrolling to a new school, it is possible mistakes will be made no one is perfect. I went to a really small school and found the financial aid to be underhanded and greedy, but due to my intellect and understand of financial aid they were caught in the act, and forced to return a huge amount of money. As for Alvernia I have a friend on the deans list and she has stated that there are alot of Liberal Art classes, so you will have to take 3-4 englishes and a language class, even if you major has no reasoning for it. If I was going to go to alvernia, they would have to concentrate more on the major and less on the money. That is all I am saying.

Getting accepted at alvernia was easy because they accept pretty much everyone who applies. I decided to attend alvernia because of all the financial aid that i was offered, but i did not recieve half of what they had offered me. During my first year i discovered that several of the students are conceited and arrogant, and that the staff are less than capable of their jobs. While the education i recieve is decent, there is no social life at alvernia and the staff treat the students like they dont matter. I find the staff is less mature than many of the students. Favorites are often picked, and least favorites are also picked. The staff gives you no privacy and will come and go into your room as they please, sometimes without even knocking. Also, there is often little to no parking, and even when there is parking its confusing. This school has no clue what its doing or where its going. Its a complete waste of money and is not worth the 30000 i spend on it each year. I would not reccomend anyone attend this school. ever.

Applied accepted and now working with Financial Aid Office, so I want my application fees back. Alvernia's Financial Planning office promotes your applying for scholarships, and when you qualify and obtain them, then they reduce or eliminate your other scholarships. They don't tell you until they delete the others, and you have a net gain of Zero. Don't listen to their advise unless you question them six ways to HELL.
