I have had aBright
I have had a great experience at FMU. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The faculty are fantastic and the small class size really makes me feel at home.

Question
Its funny because coming from a big university,Not so bright
Its funny because coming from a big university, drexel university, people said the same thing about that school and honestly its about what u do to prepare urself before graduating. people just think soon as u get ur degree its off to smooth sailing. Thats not the truth for any college unless u coming out of a ivy league university. You have to get involved by sending ur resume to different places while still in school. i dont attend FMU but i have three relatives who went here and ALL three are doing well. The school gives you the opportunity to get an education but they dont do the work for you. So that means search for internships get urself out there and plus it takes time. Jobs dont pay by the school u went to (unless like i said b4 u went to a ivy league school like univ. of pennsylvania) they pay by experience most of the time. so honestly speaking francis marion is a liberal arts college to either get u right into ur major (like nursing) or a bridge to grad school or med school. Your mindset determines how u feel about school. like i said ive been around people who attend great schools and they still complain. Francis Marion isnt bad people just assume becuz its not university of south carolina that its bad and its honestly not bad.

Question
I have heard the administration of FMU goesNot so bright
I have heard the administration of FMU goes to this site and posts positive reviews to oppose the negative ones. The last review here is obviously one of those posts. How in the hell one would come up with the idea that FMU is the Harvard of the South? If it is that great, how come it has probably the worst reviews on this board? why does it have such a bad reputation in the region-- from racism to poorly educated faculty, to crime, etc? Why over 80% of freshmen either drop out or transfer within their year? Why do professors send their children to USC, Clemson, MUSC, CC, even CCU? How come FMU graduates can hardly ever get a job that doesn't even require a HS diploma? I don't even need to say anything about the location of the university, the drug dealers and pimps on campus, the dirty and unsafe halls, doors smelling shit, blood in bathroom walls, janitors harassing girls, the president's involvement with black students and was caught with in action with a janitor. This is just to name a few that I have seen or heard on the campus. This school is a mess and should be investigated for corruption or may be closed. My advice, don't believe anything the administration of this school tells you. They will tell you anything to get you in but later you will find yourself stuck. This is exactly what happened to hundreds of students including myself.
