Lamar University in Beaumont, TX has helped tremendouslyCommunications
Lamar University in Beaumont, TX has helped tremendously - especially in terms of finding jobs around East TX. The class sizes are consistently small to assure you extra attention and a more hands-on learning environment. The professors are accomplished, established professionals who play a major role in generating & maintaining highly-accredited departments of major. Lamar provides great guidance, while giving students the liberties to do unique & profound projects. It offers an education of substance & a fun student-life, & it is growing and improving every year!

Question
I look back on my education at LamarQuite BrightChemical Engineering
I look back on my education at Lamar and realize I learned much, and attribute my success to the experience and learning I gained during those years. I paid my way through college by co-oping, and established the industry contacts that allowed me to get an excellent job in a very lean job market. I graduated with no debt, a great job, and a terrific beautiful wife. The professors all taught their own classes, and cared enough to assure we learned what we needed to.Lamar has a pretty good reputation along the Gulf Coast due to their heavy involvement in the chemical industry and jobs training programs. The marching band back in the 70's was fantastic due to Jimmy Simmon's leadership. I'm hoping they get it going again. The music program is very good.

Question
This school has the most unfriendly professors IQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
This school has the most unfriendly professors I have ever met. They are rude and condescending and seem less than knowledgeable in their "areas of expertise." I also have had horrible experience with the advisors here-most of whom are faculty members. I would NEVER recommend anyone attend this school.
