I just read some of these reviews.BrightBiology
I just read some of these reviews. School is what you make of it. CNU offers great opportunities. I'm going abroad this summer and have lined up an internship for the coming semester. I've got a great roommate. Live in a nice university-owned apartment with a washer/dryer...come on, you know that has got to impress! Food is good most days. Classes are tough, but good. The track record for students getting good jobs or going on to grad school is great.

Question
It really depends on who you are.Quite BrightBiology
It really depends on who you are. Christopher Newport University is trying to make a name for itself by building many new buildings. The school is trying to become a business school even so there is so many biology majors. Paul Trible, the president has try to cut funding for the science majors. The school would be great if they add more sciences core to it agenda. CNU is a liberal art university that focuses more on the art than the sciences.

CNU has the potential of being a great that could make University Of Virginia and the College of William and Mary a joke. Paul Trible is rushing the school for growth too quickly even so the school has not been here for 50 years yet. He has projects for chapels and more building that sounds ridiculous. Just add more funding to the programs and not just the business area. Psychology and Biology are also popular but do not receive as much as Business.

The president can be seen as arrogrant and conceited. I seen him twice in a span of 3 weeks. He would interupt a conversation and immeadiately shake your hand and say "Mr. President". Because of his arrogrance ,CNU alumni do not want to donate to the university.

And with more icing on the cake, the school has a very conservative feel even so it is growing. It is pretty common for people from NOVA that come here. Anyone that stands up to the tyrant, ends up being replace.

And don't give me that crap, "he has done a lot for school", and "CNU would be a shitty college" No human should be treating as a diety. Like I don't know, the library is name after Paul Trible and his wife. It just seems that Trible wants to make Christopher Newport University a great school so he can reap all the rewards.

If you apply to any college or university, remember this. College is just plain old bullshit. Every school just rave about what is so great about their school but fall short in the long run. There is major problem with every college in the U.S. Don't believe in the crap "Best colleges in the U.S." A marketing ploy that been use for many years.Hopefully, my review can help aid students look into CNU and any other colleges in the USA. Parents too. If you need help just email me.

Question
CNU is a communter campus with dorms.Quite BrightBiology
CNU is a communter campus with dorms. Pres. Tribble in under the misconception that the dorms at CNU are like living in the Ritz Carlton - obviously he has never stepped foot in Santoro, Motel 6 more like it. Three people to a room with desks, closet and drawer space for only two. CNU is a dry campus with vigilante RA's and campus police just looking for offenders, they must receive a bonus for rounding up students to perform community service. Oh, dry except when a blind eye is turned to to the parking lot before and after a football game when parents, alumni, supporters, students, PLAYERS and COACHES can be found openly drinking.
