Old Dominion University

If you are an active student it can be a good school. If not then you will not succeed. The surrounding area is very dangerous, especially the two neighborhoods directly south of campus on both sides of Hampton BLVD. Since my freshmen year I think 10 students have been shot, and countless have been robbed and assaulted. For this reason, the campus is not open socially. Your best bet is to join greek life or a club sport if you want to have fun.

Absolutely WORST School I have gone to across the country! I am a military wife and have been to 3 Universities and 2 community colleges across IL, SC, WA, and VA. In WA as a video streamer going to ODU was a horrific experience that will never end! Only two of the numerous teachers were qualified to be teaching and counselors, financial aid staff, and directors were useless! No one could get anything right even if you went to each appointment you had nothing ended up working out the way they told you it would. It was a huge waste of time and over $20000!!!

The job placement at ODU is awful. Granted, the economy is not good, but there just aren't that many recruiters that come to the school.
