I like the academics here. You can be challenged if you want to be, but they are also more accepting of students with learning dissabilities (like myself). The social life here is dissapointing. The student activities are not well organized and dominated by only a certain group of students. As far as activities are concerned, people here are pretty appathetic (this is not true when it comes to say, the theater department, where many dedicated students are involved--even some outside the department). Socially, this campus is very confining. And unless you have a car, there is no real escape.

Beloit is a very good school - very flexible in fitting a student's desires and needs. The social life - ehhhh, a little iffy - a little cliquey, but what place isn't? There's a variety of people here. Sometimes they lack initiative as a whole, but there are definite stars on campus. People are smart...sometimes pretensious, but not necessarily. The school doesn't really live up to its reputation as a kind of "artsy" school - but it is pretty diverse and there are students with creativity. I haven't had the best experience here, but everyone else is having a great time.
