You'll hear alot of negative about RIT, but as with everything in life, this university is what you make of it. I love this place. My major, imaging science, is small enough and varied enough to make me feel like a true individual. If you are afraid of work, then this is not the place for you. The real world is a challenge, no one pampers you—and this school certainly tries to live up to that sort of expectation. And yes, there is quite a social life. Parties DO happen every night, and there are PLENTY of things to do in Rochester as well—don't believe everything you might hear.
