I think of this place as a very large community college- because everybody commutes. Plus, most of the student body is still in their cliques from nearby high schools, so it is hard to get to know the commuters, because they don't want to get to know you. Some campus recreation is basketball-that's it, heck, some of the intermural teams are better than the varsity team in my opinion. And of course all the athletes are stuck up, which I can't figure out why, because they are so bad at sports here, so nobody goes to any varsity games. This campus is flat out DEAD on weekends, no kidding (you'll be lucky to see more than 50 people). Not a lot to do in the nearby city, unless if you want to drive 5 miles or so. At least The Palace is close by, but overall, Detroit is not worth living in. If you want to go to school in a big city, I would recommend Chicago. This school does not have a lot of reputation, which it should, because the classes are difficult. However, the professors are very freindly and are helpful. I would not go to this college again, and I realize I made a big mistake in coming here- wasting a year of my life.
