UCLA has a great reputation and was cheap. I went there for undergrad and grad school. I loved grad school but absolutely hated my undergrad experience. I would not send my kids there for undergrad. I'd look for a school where professors know how to teach. Also, many of my professors and most of my TA's didn't speak English.
