I jumped around going to many colleges before settling with SIU, and not only is the school decent, but the atmoshpere is great. Outside the campus, most locals are super friendly, and the town is wellkept. Other schools I attended looked trashed and disgusting. SIU has a reputation for being a party school, but there are so many things to do in Carbondale, you don't need to party to have fun.
