Major: Music - Composition/Theory (This Major's Salary over time)
UNCG has a great music school. The music building was completed in 1999, and it's fabulous! The faculty are excellent, but make sure to schedule a lesson with the person you want to study with before you audition. I actually was a Music History major - not Composition/Theory, but that was closest. The CHT department has the best faculty in the school of music, and the fewest students who major in it. This school is big on education, not so much on performance, though the performance standards are quite respectable for a state university. That comes down to what you make of it. You can squeak by with little effort, or you can work hard and make the most of it - nobody's going to hold you back. The university at large and Greensboro itself is boring or nice n' quiet, depending on what you want. This is not a party school!
