This school is not terrible if you find your niche and remain open minded. It is imperative that you get involved in whatever it is you are interested in otherwise you will never feel a connection to this school or its people. Most people come to this school because they are from New York and want a good education with an affordable price tag. There is no shame in this. Most people are smart here and very dynamic but for one reason or another they are very apathetic. It's probably Binghamton that makes them this way. If you come here be DIFFERENT!! "Dare to Care" as one motivational speaker told me in high school. If you find yourself with a case of the Binghamton blues at some point, study abroad or participate in the National Student Exchange. (NSE is an opportunity to study at other US colleges for up to an academic year.) Binghamton University is not a bad place to be from as there is a lot of recruiting that goes on here from NYC firms. If you come here and you make the experience and the university your own, you will be very satisfied and after four years you will have received a first rate education.
