A fairly good quality liberal arts college in a small blue collar city. The Stuent body is heavily upper-middle class kids from Dallas and Houston suburbs. Its a fairly good choice if one wants to go to a small school in Texas, and does have a good history department (particularly IMO Dr Hunt Tooley and Dr. AJ Carlson, though the latter does not teach so often anymore). I have more reservations about the English department, but then my information is somewhat dated. I did not receive much useful advice on my then-career path, which to be fair reflects as much as me as on my then-mentor.
