Tulane was great, a total mix of people—a third each from the North, South, and West. Same thing for religion - a third each of protestant, jewish, and catholic. I know a lot of other folks have written that Tulane is nothing but snotty rich kids, I disagree. I was on scholarship and a large portio of the school was receiving financial aid of some sort. No, it's not a cheap school, but if they want you then they'll find a way for you to afford to attend. Same thing with the criticism that the school is too greek—only a third of the students are in greek life. I had both greek and non-greek friends. TU and New Orleans are fantastic and the school has enough of a name that people are impressed that you went there for college.
