This place is GORGEOUS when the weather is nice. The budget spent on landscaping each year is ridiculous but the results are very clear. Evanston is a great little town. Sure, you might get bored of eating out, shopping, or watching movies, but compared to almost every other school out there, Evanston has more to offer in the way of all of the aforementioned activities. The people here are really diverse - about 20% of us are from in-state with about 10% being international students. True, we have a lot of rich people attending our school but for the most part, I haven't found them to be condescending or arrogant in manner. Academics are tough - a LOT harder in the Pre-med classes than you'd expect - but everything's doable as long as you honestly put the time in (and you won't have to kill your social life). The social scene isn't as crazy as it is at state school's but that's to be expected since we're a lot smaller than most. But all the same, there's almost always something to do and events going on. Basically, this school is very well-rounded and other than the price tage, I'd highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
