Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Short list:

I majored in Cell and Molecular biology, but did not hear of Krebb/TCA cycle, or even glycolosis till an elective second semester of my senior year.

My freshman year they never sent me the first semester registration materials, so I got stuck with all eight o'clock classes.

In 1994, they made me take FORTRAN, which has probably not been used since 1974.

Even though I was admitted on an academic scholarship, they did not even inform me about the honors program.

My advisor (Joan Bennett), never helped me even a little. I made two appointments with her, both times she was very unhelpful. The second time, I wanted to do research, and she merely gave me a general suggestion to

look up what people are doing, and go out and sell yourself.
At other colleges, like UNO, they have a list of faculty, the research they are involved in, and students get involved that way.

The dorms were awful. The freshman dorm (monroe) had roaches, the elevators did not work half the time, and one year the ceiling of my room in another dorm was covered in mildew. To fix it, they came in and applied a bleach solution, which, after drying, caused plaster to fall all over the room.

The career services department was substandard, with no required meetings or guidance. The job fairs only have jobs for engineers and business school majors.

After graduation:

Two years in a row I did not find out about the DC Tulane club crawfish boil till after it occured.
