Any university is what you make of it. I feel that if you are a neutral and "normal" everyday person, you can enjoy any university you attend. On the note, I want to say to interested people looking at UD, to think about and visit any university they want to attend. And, don't take the onligiatory tour where they tell you everything is peachy. Take your own tour, ask people, do some investigating.UD is a great school. It is getting to be a big name up east and a lot of people want to attend here. It has a beautiful, manicured campus. Some of the professors are amazing and first- notch. They also have some of the best majors and programs. Basically, you can find anything you want here. On the other hand, the people kinda suck here. There are many cool and interesting people and groups here but the majority are drunk idiots who fail out because they get drunk every night of the week. There are really no intellectual discussions and no one really cares about broadening their horizons. Most people are very dumb for lack of a better word and extremely fickle. There is really nothing to do on campus except party and even then the police are breaking them up at a lighting speed. You would think the university would schedule alternative programing to make up for this, but no they don't. Newark is getting to be kinda dangerous too and if you don't have a car you are kinda stuck to wandering around Main Street.Also- if you are a freshman try to live in either Dickinson, Rodney, Russel, or Lane, even though they are nasty, because if you don't you won't meet anyone!!Hopet this helps..
