Columbia's GSAPP is a great learning facility, but do your research before choosing the faculty you are going to work with. The school has some of the best architects teaching there. However, in many cases, the teachings were done mostly by teaching fellows since the critics are busy with their own practice. As for the facility, the school is well equipped with the most up to date computers and softwares plus 3d plotters and laser cutter. Avery Hall has the best collection of architecture books and drawings in the US. The cost might be the down side of the whole thing since it's REALLY expensive. For the 3 semester MS. in Advanced Architectural Design program, the cost of tuition is about 15000/semester. So, if money is not the biggest issue for you, GSAPP is perfect. The best deal for getting the masters there are the 3 semester AAD and UD post-professional programs since the MArch requires 6 semesters of studies.
