I am a transfer student from a community college into the photography department. First and formost this school is wonderful especially if you are looking to come here for photo, engineering, anything computer related. From what I understand this school is also very good about giving financial aid. Yes the campus is bricky, but its very clean and upkept and you aren't shelling out the big bucks for pretty buildings. Although parties do exist (especially in colony manor) this isnt the school to come to if you want to party 85% of the time and attend class once in a while. The teachers in the photo department for the most part know their stuff and very willing to help so long as you dont ask for it five minutes before a critique. This campus is very diverse, it is almost like walking through New York City in the sense that there are actually quite a few spoken languages, including sign language since NTID is here as well. You need an open mind for this place. The facilities for the photography department are outragous. There are individual darkrooms (so your classmates can't sabotge your work) and almost every camera and piece of camera equipment that a student could ever and possibly only imagine, available for use. Although most students are here are generally introverted, everyone is really nice.
