Date: Dec 06 2005 Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time) UCSB is the most fun I have had at an academic institution. That being said I really learned how to think and solve problems. When I was there the school was transitioning from Party School to a more respected research University. Recent increases in admissions difficulty seemingly have increased its reputation which is good for alumni. In general I think UCSB is a great place to find youself and your interests socially and academically. Compared to Yale where I went to graduate school, the people are cooler more relaxed and enjoy life, the academic rigor is not quite as great and they aren't handing you a job of 75K plus just 'cause you went there but you will learn alot at UCSB.
