Its a cool school and it's up and coming, they just completed a $36 million experimental sciences building, one of the most comprehensive in all of the Southwest. Incoming freshamn also enjoy a brand new student union building, remodeled and expanded. Social life at Tech lives up to it's notorious reputation and student pride is stronger than ever given the competitive sports programs Tech has developed. Unforunately, Lubbock is what it is, a mostly poor West Texas town with little culture. Permanent Lubbock residents are, for the most part, friendly people though and very keen to the University and it's student body.
