As far as out-of-college employment goes, for most programs of study, there is little point in nit-picking between equal-Tier schools. ie… in Engineering, it makes little difference whether one goes to Georgia Tech, Virgina Tech, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan, etc etc etc

In the geosciences, there is a cluster of schools that are heads-and-shoulders above all others: Texas, Texas A&M, (Colorado) School of Mines, and Oklahoma.
