Most of the student body come from the tri-state area. So, it is difficult for some from other areas to make friends because most of the student body know each other and are sometimes cliquey.Also, housing is only guarenteed for the first two years, so if you want to stay at Marist for all four years you will probably have to find off campus housing. FYI Poughkeepsie, NY does not have many nice neighborhoods.
