Because of hurricane Katrina my program got cut. Initially I was furious, because this entire time I've been loyal to this school. I am more than ready to leave this school and transfer to another. This doesn't mean it will be easy. I truly do love this school and this city, and I absolutely HATE that I "have" to leave. This school is AWESOME, and I would totally recommend it for any person who is not majoring in engineering. I simply worry about the future of this school and with the current situation of the levees and the upcoming hurricane season I do not feel safe being here. I need stability in my education.

I look at this entire ordeal as a story and an education. Nobody else in the world has had to go through what Tulane University has had to overcome. I will be able to tell my future employers, co-workers, kids, and grandkids how lived in New Orleans and went to college during hurricane Katrina. This is simply a life lesson that I value and will hold on to.

I've read most of these comments, and I agree with most. I am a part of a fraternity so I may be biased to the social scene. If there is one thing you take out of this comment it is this…THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO HERE. Every night there is either a bar with a special where everybody goes, fraternity parties, or house parties. It's great.

This school is the ultimate balance and blend between academics and social life. You get all of the same people at one place who are not the idiots of your high school that went to their public state school and you don't get the ultimate introverts who don't go out.

To sum it up, Tulane gets a neutral from me because of the fact that I love this school and the fact that they cut my program. Yeah, it's that great.
