I love NIU. I lived in the dorms my first year even though I lived 20 min from the school. It is a great experience. I have got in deep with the sports program and am invovled with the atheletic department in starting a student sports booster club with a main goal of increasing attendence at basketball games. There are many opprotunites to get involved in something more than partying and studying. The social life is great. Because most of the students are from the northern part of Illinois and especially Chicago and it's suburbs there is more of a community feel to the school because many of our parents are alumni and we all grew up cheering for the local sports teams (Bulls, Cubs, Bears). I would choose NIU again given the opprotunity.
