Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
The decision to come to this school is one that I wish I could take back. I originally came as a mechanical engineering student but switched to electrical engineering rather than transferring out because I couldn't get my friends to leave with me. The library will be closed until late 2009 as they add a starbucks and some other nonacademic bullshit, Chancellor Walter Wendler has this delusional idea about building better sports venues wherein alumni are expected to contribute most of the necessary funding, and the faculty either can't speak proper english or plain don't give a shit whether their students are learning(as evidenced by the ease with which anyone can pass through a course). However, what he himself admits is that this supposed contribution has just barely begun, amounting to practically nothing. So the question to ask yourself before coming here is, do you want to attend a university full of students and faculty/administration dedicated to the learning process or do you wish to come to a school where the students care only for booze and getting a meaningless degree, the faculty care for nothing other than their research, and the administration cares about nothing more than the school's image, its sports team, and their precious salary. Before you attend, these are the things you must consider. My advice: don't attend, unless you like having large things shoved up places that large things should not be shoved up (metaphorically speaking, of course).
